Why we built this site

My wife and I were sitting around the table looking over last year's bills. After tallying up the propane bill to nearly $4,500, I decided to call my propane provider. What I discovered, through a series of calls and time spent researching prices, was that I was paying more than the state average and more than most of my friends. It turns out I was paying about 16% more. If I had an easy way to figure this out during the heating season, I could have saved myself $700.

So we designed this site to help people do what we did - lower their heating costs. We can quickly tell you if you’re paying too much, and we’re going to monitor prices of oil and propane to make sure you never pay more than you should.
